Allow myself to introduce...myself.
I honestly hate writing about myself. It's so awkward! I don't want to sound too formal, but I don't want to be all over the place! So I guess I'll have to start from the beginning.(This might take awhile...)
I've always had this crazy thought in my head that maybe, just maybe, I could be an actress. And it wasn't always an actress. Somedays it would be a singer, dancer,or even a costume designer! I had to have an "un-normal, un-boring" job! Being an entertainer was something I couldn't shake! Nobody else in my family(except for my younger sister) showed interest in this field so I was really confused! But my confusion quickly changed transparent!
It was totally unexpected but completely worth it! My mom was taking my sister to this summer acting workshop so naturally I followed. When we got there the director wanted me to audition as well since there wasn't a lot of kids joining this year. The audition was to sing a song...I chose Halo by Beyonce. I sung and my mom was like, "That was beautiful!" and everyone said I sounded amazing! From that moment on I knew I had something in me that I didn't want to waist! But unfortunately, I just graduated High School and had my first job at a National department store so when the scheduled auditions I had to pass. :( I was so saddened by not being able to be apart of something I knew I wanted to do I made a vow to myself: NEVER WOULD I LET WORK GET IN THE WAY OF ACTING.
I dived in, HEAD FIRST!With a new job I loved and a clear path ahead of me I felt great! I got free head shots, searched around and got an agent who got me better head shots (not free, but worth it) and the next thing I know 'm on set of a Harley-Davidson commercial! YIPEE!!! I had the best time! I was an extra, but it was only 25 of us so it wasn't too crazy. Plus there was no lines for the featured extras so we gust had to "have fun at a BBQ". I loved it!
After awhile the auditions stopped coming in and I was right back where I started! :/ Without an agent. I felt hopeless, but I kept going! Soon I got an gig (extra) in a film! It was a night shoot, 10pm - 6am. It was long, but so worth it! I kept searching around and got an extras gig on ABC Family The Lying Game!
I aslo got a Production Assistant job on the set of the movie Champion which stars Dora Madison Burge, Cody Linley, and Lance Henrikson! But juggling both jobs became impossible! I remembered my vow and just like that..I quit.
I realized that I wanted to be in front of the camera. So after we finished filming I decided to keep putting myself out there. I worked on other television shows as an extra and then took a short break, but now I'm back! I'm signing up for acting classes, getting brand new headshots and I'm looking for agents!
Look out world! Here comes Ally!
